A TPU compounder, not a converter
Nilun develops and manufactures thermoplastic polyurethane pellets for five application lines. We do not make catheters, cables or shoe soles — we make the material those products are built from.
The work is formulation and synthesis. Hardness from 60 Shore A to 85 Shore D, across six chemistry types, each tuned to a different failure mode: hydrolysis in a steam cycle, yellowing under UV, flame spread in a cable bundle, rebound after foaming.
That range is why the catalogue is published grade by grade rather than as a brochure. A catheter shaft and a footwear midsole start from the same reactor chemistry and diverge in hardness, additives and compliance route. Publishing all forty-one lets an engineer find the one that fits instead of asking us to guess.
For medical devices we hold a China National Master File (MAF) filing, which supports a customer's own device registration rather than replacing it. Biocompatibility is demonstrated case by case — including a completed 52-week implantation study — and the medical TPU range is covered across 70A–85D. Grade selection, biocompatibility data and change control are handled per application; the first step is always a conversation about the intended use.
The plant occupies 18,000 m² of building area, running a polymerization line, a compounding line and a pilot line, backed by complete testing and laboratory equipment. Annual TPU capacity is 60,000 tonnes.
