Aliphatic TPU for paint protection film: optical clarity and self-healing
PCL-based aliphatic TPU particles for optically clear protective film — self-healing, UV and weather resistant, plasticizer-free and compatible with adhesives, inks and coatings.
What PPF demands of the TPU
Paint protection film is the optical surface between a car's paint and the road. The TPU layer has to be crystal-clear and stay clear, absorb stone impact, resist UV and weathering over years outdoors, and self-heal surface marks.
Product advantages
- High process stability — consistent melt behaviour makes extrusion easier to control.
- Crystal-clear — nearly invisible on the surface it protects.
- Impact and abrasion protection — shields the surface from chips and wear.
- Adhesive, ink and coating compatibility — bonds well with downstream layers.
- Self-healing — surface marks recover to keep the film looking new.
- Weather and UV resistance — holds up under long outdoor exposure.
- Low-temperature flexibility — easier installation across a wider temperature range.
- Plasticizer-free — no plasticizer to leach and embrittle over time.
Grade highlights
The NL2188 / NL2165D series is designed specifically for paint protection film and important surface-protection film, with the stability needed for efficient extrusion. After market validation, the product meets the technical standard of international high-end grades and supports domestic substitution.
Applications
